#YouMeUsWe art exhibition at the halley Opening Evening
Pride month takes place in June every year to coincide with the Stonewall Riots of 1969. Historically, the Pride movement was built on a core foundation of people standing up for one another. Our allyship is as important now as it has ever been and we can show our support through our artists community. Art voices are powerful and the cultural sector has the responsibility to attract and educate everyone on the topic.
However you choose to celebrate, Pride month will be marching on throughout the month of June sharing the empowering #pride message and offering a positive opportunity to celebrate. Here at SKT we want to honour it in the best way we know: an art exhibition!
Come and celebrate with us at the halley from June 18 to July 9, 2021: located in a peaceful corner of East London, where the Regentโs Canal joins Kingsland Basin, The Halley is a space for independent minds, with music, culture, innovation and inclusivity at its heart.
