Artsmark Connects: Embedding student voice within schools

Uncategorized

Please note: Artsmark Connects events are open to all teachers, including those not currently registered for Artsmark. Cultural sector organisations are also welcome to book.

Artsmark Connects

Join us at London Transport Museum for an evening of networking and exploration. We’re reflecting on the importance of embedding student voice within schools – the advantages, practicalities and challenges of doing this. Find out more about how London Transport Museum is working with teachers, taking inspiration from their collection, to promote investigation and innovation and to support classroom learning.

Artsmark Connect events provide the following opportunities:

  • Presentations: meet Hannah Peaty of Soho Parish Primary school and find out about their Artsmark journey journey that led to the formation of a student council to promote student voice within the school

  • Celebrate: congratulate those schools that have recently been awarded Artsmark

  • Discover: hear how museum partnerships can support you on your Artsmark journey and discover different ways to promote pupil led investigation

  • Network: a chance for teachers and the cultural sector to network and share ideas/practice

The first 25 teachers to book will also get free access to our Museum Late event Night on the Tiles where you can party like it’s 1999 and you’re dancing in a disused Underground station. Explore London’s rich nightlife history through the ages, from Victorian music halls and night clubs, to subcultures which have influenced London and the world. Visit our immersive exhibition Hidden London, giving you a taste of what lies beneath the streets, in the secret and abandoned tunnels and stations of London. Glam up and accessorize in our creative workshops and dance to our resident DJ’s London party tunes.

Teachers, senior leaders and governors are welcome to attend, as are members of the cultural sector. Places are limited, book now!
