Barclays Career Kickstarter, by Win London

Tearing apart stereotypes, one slice at a time

Barclays Gender Network invites colleagues and students to an evening of networking, challenging perceptions and pizza.

We are excited to welcome you to Rise London, the Barclays home of Fintech innovation, to hear from graduates and senior leaders at Barclays about how the attitudes to what makes an 'ideal candidate' is changing.

We want to challenge the perception that you need to be studying a STEM subject, or attend a league-table-topping university, or have a particular background, skill set, race or gender, to launch a career in financial services or tech.

After a keynote speech on Intersectionality and Gender from Abisola Barber, featured in Brummell's 30 Inspirational Women in the City in 2018, and shortlisted in last year's Black British Business Awards, we welcome Patrick Rosichuk, who will speak about his experience as a Male Ally at Barclays.

Students will be able to speak to our Campus Recruitment team about our Early Careers opportunities, try out our Career Finder quiz and explore our graduate career pathways in 360Β° video in a VR headset.

At the end of the evening, we invite all students and colleagues to stay for pizza and networking.
