Better Venture Book Launch at Atomico on 28th February 2023
To launch our book 'Better Venture' in person, we are bringing some of our interviewees together at the Atomico Office in London on February 26 for an intimate panel and cocktail. We are excited to welcome Maren Bannon (January Ventures), Ian Connaty (British Patient Capital), Belton Flournoy, and Lisa Shu for our panel conversation. Copies of the book will be available.
Context of the book: We worked on Better Venture over the last two years to put together a comprehensive guide to diversity and inclusion in venture capital—who funds, who gets funded, and how the industry can change. The book traces VCs' history and pulls together the most important research to inform the over 40 conversations that make up the bulk of the over 700-page volume. We spoke to GPs, LPs and a large variety of ecosystem builders and operators between Europe and the US to explore the moral and financial needs for a more diverse, equitable, and profitable funding system.
