The Bartlett School of Architecture

Our Dreams Change, We Don't, is the first in a new series of short books transcribing lectures from The Bartlett's International Lecture Series.
About
The book explores our relationships with the notions of home, machines and the future. Drawing on her research into cybernetics and art, Jasia observes that βthe animation of the inanimate, and the desire to communicate with machines, represent both our dreams and our limitationsβ. Bringing together wide-ranging references from childrenβs literature to contemporary art, Jasia speculates on the fading boundaries between humans and technology.
Jasiaβs original lecture was given at The Bartlett School of Architecture on 13 December 2017. The book will be presented by Frederic Migayrou, Chair and Bartlett Professor of The Bartlett School of Architecture.
It will be available to read online for free and to buy in print at the launch.
Refreshments will be available.
