Gerardโs speciality lies in teaching accounting, financial analysis, and modeling, having started his career working in tax for Arthur Anderson and then moving to Ernst & Youngโs Corporate Finance Department. After qualifying as an accountant and CFA (all 3 levels), Gerard transitioned into financial training for BPP Professional Education in 2008 before working for AMT Training in 2012.
Since joining Financial Edge, Gerard has delivered global training programs for the top 4 investment banks.
Tom holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics & Finance from the University of York. He started his professional career as an investment banking analyst at Santander CIB, where he was involved in various M&A deals. He joined FE as a part-time content creator in May 2022 and works on FEโs podcast, weekly market wraps, blog articles, social media content, and Felix recordings.
Outside of work Tom is a wine entrepreneur and launched Turner Capital Group a private equity firm to acquire and grow English vineyards.
Deborah, who is a chartered accountant, was a director at Barclays Equity Research for 7 years before joining Financial Edge. During her time there, she specialized in accounting and valuation research as part of one of the top ranked teams in her sector. In more recent years, Deborah worked as co-head of Sustainable and Thematic investing, carrying out research on corporate governance issues such as corporate tax and regulation.
Deborah is also co-author of the book โFinancial Statement Analysis under IFRSโ, published in 2018.
