Choral Eucharist on Pentecost

Religion & Spirituality

Join us at Southwark Cathedral for Choral Eucharist on Pentecost

Choral Eucharist is the same as a Eucharist, except with the addition of glorious organ music and choral pieces, hymns in which the congregation joins the singing, and a homily or sermon. This usually takes place on Sunday mornings and at other times on special festival days.

The Choral Eucharist is almost always located in the nave; the service lasts for a hour or more, depending on the choice of music and other elements of the service.

Due to social distancing, when all pre-booked places are taken there will be a further 20 places available for those who turn up at the Cathedral. You will be asked to leave your contact details on arrival. These seats will be allocated on a first come basis. As soon as we are able to expand our capacity we will do so.

From Saturday 8 August 2020 it is mandatory that visitors and members of the congregation must wear a face covering unless you have been exempted.

Please note that Congestion Charging now applies to Sunday. Please be aware that the Cathedral is in the charging zone. Full details can be found at https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/congestion-charge

If you book a ticket to join us but circumstance change and you can't come please cancel your registration via Eventbrite or do let us know so we can release the space for someone else. You can email at [email protected]. Thank you.
