This event is for our network of screen creatives and producers working on climate storytelling, to meet and discuss creative approaches to the climate crisis.
Spirit of Place is one of the latest projects from On the Edge, a not-for-profit multimedia and conservation organisation telling modern, pop-culture stories about the awe and wonder of nature to inspire audiences. The project is written and directed by Jack Cooper Stimpson and stars Academy Award-winning actor and Wildfowl and Wetland Trust Ambassador, Mark Rylance. Set in and around wetland spaces, the film is a meditation on access to nature, gender and identity. It was made in association with the WWT and was the first production to use Equity's Green Rider.
The screening will be followed by a short discussion with some of the key creatives about the campaign behind the film and the green rider. After this there will be drinks and time to socialise and meet each other.
Places are limited so please RSVP as soon as possible.
