Cloud Native: Blessing or SRE Curse?

Science & Technology

Join us for an exclusive panel discussion and Q&A for senior level software engineers to discuss Cloud Native and whether it's a blessing or SRE curse.

X4 Technology and hx are joining forces on the 11th of December at the Huckletree Auditorium in Shoreditch to bring together an expert panel of CTO’s to discuss and debate “Cloud Native: Blessing or SRE Curse?”

Cloud Native is all the rage today; every large cloud computing provider or bastion of IT technology is promoting it. It's a blessing, allowing easier scaling, easier automation and a path to designing 'best practice' architectures, with everything all in one place and under one roof.

Or is it a blessing in disguise? What might be great for a CTO's business mindset might be a curse for a SRE. It restricts choice, can make performance worse, forces trust in large vendors and might actually increase risk by making local builds too difficult.

Raph Cohn, CTO at hyperexponential and former architect of one of the world's first cloud-based message queues, will lead a panel conversation. Come, have your say and explore with the best minds in London.
