Join us to hear from two fantastic speakers on their experience at UCL in taking new ideas to the clinic.

Prof. Bobby Gaspar introduces his pioneering work on developing gene therapies for rare diseases. We will hear about some of the developments that have made Orchard Therapeutics one of UCL’s most successful spin out companies – with over Β£392m in investment and 9 different treatments currently in the clinical pipeline.

Prof. Clare Elwell introduces her interdisciplinary work on neuro-imaging with functional near infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS). We will hear about the Global fNIRS project and how this is improving our understanding of cognitive development in populations facing socio-economic and environmental adversities.
