CPD: Strategies for teaching children with ASD

Led by experts in the field, this session focuses on practical ways to ensure that students with ASD are receiving the best possible teaching. We look at several important factors to consider:

  • Learning environment
  • Lesson delivery
  • Communication
  • Effective and personalised resources

In addition, we spend time through workshops focusing on a range of case studies to highlight the wide range of the spectrum, so that those attending leave with ideas they can put into practice as soon as they get back to school.

The training will be provided by Alex Revens, an Autism Specialist Teacher at a mainstream primary school in North London. With over ten years of experience of working with autistic young people across care, social and educational settings, Alex has devoted his career so far to quality first teaching in Autism specific classrooms. He is now the lead teacher in an Autism resource provision attached to a mainstream school, where he also leads the Harrow Autism Learning Hub, providing Autism training across Harrow's schools.

This is a free CPD class run by Engage Education. If you'd like to attend, simply register your details to secure a space.
