ditto presents... innovators, disruptors & creatives in Music-Film-Fashion. Live and in person at Rich Mix, Bethnal Green Road, E1 6LA

Welcome to an evening with Ashley Beedle, Chris Carr, Mark Dowds and Taylor May Woolsey van Maasdijk.

Now in its 14th year ‘Campfire’ is the Tech, Art & Cultural part of ditto and we are delighted to be hosting four amazing speakers… from seed investors in Uber & Twilio to launching the world’s first embedded finance platform in fashion, a recipient of an Ivor Novello, and an award-winning maker of spy films!

With a career spanning four decades at the forefront of dance music Ashley Beedle is a legendary DJ and producer. Founding member of The Black Science Orchestra and The Ballistic Brothers. Ashley (X-Press 2) is a winner of an Ivor Novello for “Lazy” with Talking Heads’ David Byrne and scored a UK number one for Elton John with his reworking of ‘Are You Ready for Love’. Ashley is hugely respected internationally and referenced in Daft Punk’s ‘Teachers’.

Chris Carr is an award-winning London based film director and producer. His recent film “The Dry Cleaner” was awarded an “Honorable mention” by judges at the SPYFLIX film festival, and he was nominated as a Best British Director Finalist in the 2021 British Short Film Awards. Chris is a hugely talented and in-demand storyteller working across film, theatre, commercials, and social media. Developing content for brands such as Epson, Microsoft, NS&I and Superdrug.

The wonderful team of Mark Dowds & Taylor May Woolsey van Maasdijk from Responsible - reimagining fashion and sustainability. Belfast based Mark is Chairman of TechVentures and a recognised champion of start-ups – a seed investor in both Uber and Twilio – and a passionate tech innovator. Taylor is a leading woman in tech, with a background spanning multiple industries and countries, she brings a unique perspective, and was a professional athlete. ‘Responsible’ has been described as the world’s first embedded finance platform in fashion and has just secured $6.6m in seed funding from leading media & tech investors.

In classic campfire fashion: Hosted by ditto’s own Damien Sung, doors 6.00pm, talks start 7.00pm, finishing at 8pm, followed by drinks, snacks and shenanigans.
