King's College London - Guy's Campus

King's College London Race Equality Network and award-winning campaigner and BBC filmmaker Marc Wadsworth are proud to present an evening celebrating the previously hidden history of Great Black Briton Dr Harold Moody. A Jamaican-born medical student at King's, Moody graduated top of his class in 1910.
He became a much respected GP in Peckham and founded Britain's first civil rights movement. Most people at the university were previously unaware of Moody and a number of other black Kingβs alumni who have contributed to building the strong reputation it has for attracting brilliant minds.
This special event is an ideal opportunity to raise awareness and celebrate these hidden heroes as well as make a long-overdue call for King's to build on the legacy of Moody and other forgotten black alumni.
There'll be spoken word, a keynote speech by King's alumni Marc Wadsworth, a panel discussion, drinks and other refreshments and MORE.
Join us for this top Black History Month event!
