In association with October's UK Black History Month, Google & Facebook invite you to join us with friends, family and colleagues for An Evening of Sickle Cell Awareness.
Sickle cell disease is the name for a group of inherited health conditions that affect the red blood cells. It is a serious and lifelong health condition which is particularly common in people with an African or Caribbean family background.
On Monday 21st October, 6:00pm - 8:30pm at Google HQ, we will be sharing testimonials, hosting a Q & A Panel discussion on sickle cell disease, as well as giving you the opportunity to help directly with 'WYBT' (What's Your Blood Type) where you can register to become a blood donor.
This will all be followed by networking food and drinks where you liaise directly with guests and medical professionals.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
