Imperial CEP x Dyson x ICBS - Beauty of a more colourful world DEC 1 2021

Come and join us in a fun, collaborative outreach event, featuring and organised by members of the Centre for Environmental Policy (CEP), Dyson School of Design Engineering (Dyson), and Business School (ICBS), aimed at highlighting the diversity of work across these departments and promoting opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration.

In response to COP26 and the environmental crisis, the theme of the event is "Beauty of a More Colourful World", and invites any and all projects relating to conservation, biodiversity, sustainability, and climate change & the environment more broadly.

This is an exciting opportunity to meet young researchers and scientists across Imperial, learn their research projects, meet collaborators, and enjoy networking with refreshments!

Format

● Individually or in groups, presenters will run stalls from 5-7pm to showcase and communicate their projects with you, who will be dropping into the session throughout.

● The event will be catered and the setting is non-academic.

● There are about ten interactive stalls and entertaining presentations that will engage + inspire members of our community, e.g. demos, prototypes, installations, games - you name it!

● To bolster audience engagement, we also designed short quiz questions, so you can try to find answers to by speaking to presenters, and win prizes!

5-7pm on Wednesday 1st December in the Queen's Tower Rooms (QTR) (ground floor of the Sherfield Building).

How can I take part?

Please register through Eventbrite, and obtain a free ticket! Please come to registration desk at the entrance of QTR with your ticket anytime between 5 and 7pm on Wednesday 1st December.

COVID19 control measures

For external visitors:

• External visitors are expected to complete a contact tracing form (digital), which will be destroyed after 2 weeks of the event.

• External visitors should complete an LFD or similar test 48hrs prior to the meeting to confirm negative status.

Photographs

We will have a volunteer photographer to record the moment for us. We might use photos or videos for our future promotion. Please remind us at registration desk if you prefer not to be photographed. Thank you very much!
