At 6 pm on 7 November, we plan to officially launch our new meanwhile studio complex in Coburg Road,  we really want you to be there so we sending you a hold the date notification now. This will also be the curtain-raiser on our 23rd N22 Open Studio event. 

We have called our new studios Artspace 5. This is fifth building we are using to house artists and social enterprises that are making the Wood Green Creative Quarter a vibrant economic, social, environmental and learning powerhouse.  We are moving away from the Chocolate Factory brand so that it becomes clearer to the local community the impact that Collage Arts has across the borough.  Access to secure, affordable studio space is London is essential to the capital maintaining its place as a world-leader in the creative industries, we are proud to play our part in providing this space.  

Artspace 5 would not exist without the support of Haringey Council and the Mayor’s Good Growth Fund application, and we want you to see first hand what a difference you have made.  I suspect you will be amazed by range of activities in Artspace 5. We are using the launch to really celebrating the community links developed by Collage and our artists. This will allow us to show how 80,000 square feet of space, dedicated to creative and social-led regeneration in Wood Green, improves the lives and life chances of the local community.

During the evening we will be cutting the ribbons to formally open the 19 new studio spaces that are home to 34 creative practitioners. The ribbons will be cut by people representing the wide range of partnerships we have in place, these will include teachers from some of our six partners schools in Haringey, young people from our Collage  Voices and Collage Works programmes, private sector partners, political representative and community leaders. 

It promises to be a special night.
