LOANHOOD x Hubbub Clothes Swap

We are hosting our first clothes swap in partnership with Hubbub, and hosted by The Yards. Give your old favourites a new life and find something new to dazzle at your next festive event. Thanks it’s last years!

Let's kick off the festive season by swapping those preloved party items from years gone by. Refresh your look this festive season by choosing to swap or rent rather than buy. After COP26 and the EarthShot Prize, I know we are all looking to do our bit by circulating fashion for a sustainable future.

So come on down, have a drink and watch the rails fill up.

CLOTHES SWAP

This is an open drop and swap event so from 6-9pm you can drop your items and swap from the shop. If you are in the area during the day and want to drop before 6pm, come on down and get your tokens ready for a festive fun evening.

We offer a token system for customers who bring no more than 5 items. Items will be categorised into relevant tiers (1, 2) based on the type, brand and condition. This will dictate how many tokens the customer can then use to shop for new items. For all 2 token items they are adorned with a cheeky yellow sticker.

HOW IT WORKS

Please bring no more than 5 items of clothing, accessories and/or footwear freshly cleaned * and ready to go on the rails. We accept all genders, shapes and sizes.

DROP

Bring up to 5 items to trade for tokens. Items will be assessed by the Swap Shop Assistants on arrival and displayed on the rails. Keep an eye out for the yellow stickers which means an item is a 2 token piece.

Once you give us your clothes we will categorise them and give you tokens in return.

There is a grouping system of clothes based on Recommended Retail Price (RRP) and condition. This will dictate how many tokens you receive and can swap on the stalls.

SWAP

Browse the rails and use your token currency to exchange for new preloved items.

RENTAL

We will have a rail of rental for you to try on and even take away on the night ready for your Christmas party. Don't forget to download the app from the App Store of Google Play.

Free of faults or minor repairs

Something you once valued or will be valued by someone else. Ask yourself - would you give this to a friend?

*No Underwear/Swimwear

All items will be assessed using LOANHOOD ‘Swap-Shop Item Guide’ by our Swap Shop Assistants.

TOKEN CURRENCY

1 Token – preloved under £50

2 Tokens - preloved over £50 & great condition (watch out for those yellow stickers)

*Any particularly valuable or special garments will be assigned their own token currency and showcased amongst the items.

If you run out of tokens, extra tokens will be free purchase for £1 each.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

DROP - The value of each items will be assigned by the Swap Shop Assistants and unchangeable after donation.

SWAP - You can only swap if you bring items to exchange. We cannot guarantee your items will be exchanged for something you like

SHOP -We can refuse any items brought to the event that do not meet the criteria of the token system. We appreciate your honesty. Please refrain from taking any garments you have not officially swapped.

CLOSING TIME- The Swap will promptly close at 9pm. Make sure you come earlier though as items go quickly.
