MAKEDA MAKES - THE BREAKTHROUGH . Live performances and guest speakers

Music

An evening of live performances and industry speakers at the british library. Celebrating breakthrough careers, moments and opportunities

A celebratory event, The Breakthrough will be the official launch of Makeda Makes featuring live performances from surprise industry guests at The British Library.

Established in 2020, Makeda McMillan founded a community interest company which offers a range of bespoke services, dedicated to providing young London residents with opportunities that would help them to prosper in their chosen careers within the creative industry.

This year, Makeda Makes has taken over various London libraries and transformed them into innovating experiences including music performances and panel discussions.

Having delivered multiple projects and takeovers in and out of London, The Breakthrough will be Makeda Makes biggest takeover yet, hosting in King's Cross at The British Library, guests will be presented with drinks and canapes whilst getting to experience live performances and a panel discussion featuring highly anticipated industry guests. Makeda Makes will take their guests on the ultimate journey to give them an insight into the music industry, speaking on the ups and downs, as well as celebratory breakthrough moments and the opportunity to view the work they have carried out and celebrate the achievements they have accomplished so far, all whilst in the grand settings of London’s infamous library.
