Michael Nath's *The Treatment*: Book Launch

Other

Our fabulous colleague Michael Nath's new novel, The Treatment, is being realised on the 5th March 2020. To celebrate this we're throwing a little book launch and we hope you'll join us to hear Michael read from his new work!

The Treatement has already been described by novelist David Peace as “[s]imply the best British novel I've read since I don’t know when – this decade? This century? ... It engages with and confronts the central, crucial subjects of our time: race and racism, individual and institutional, of the corruption and failure of the police, the media and the law itself.” Because that definitely sounds like a novel we should all be reading, Quercus (riverrun) will have a book stall so you'll be able to buy the novel there! There will also be a few glasses of wine to help us toast this important book.

Michael's been a central part of our creative writing team since 2004 and to also celebrate and acknowledge the work of our other School of Humanities creative writers Hannah Copley, Monica Germanà, Kate M. Graham, and Matt Morrison, along with alumni Ben McKay, will also be sharing some of their writing.

We'll be holding the launch in the Soho Poly Theatre space in the basement of our Little Titchfield Building (entry instructions to follow!).
