In our third event of the 2019/20 Midtown Big Ideas Exchange (MBIE) programme we will focus on SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities. The world is ever-changing and wonderfully diverse, this isnβt necessarily reflected when looking at the company floor and certainly not the corporate boardroom. At this event we will discuss whether it is businessesβ bottom-lines that are losing out.
The business case for diversity seems intuitive - building teams from a variety of backgrounds, genders, ethnicities, ages and sexual orientations offers different viewpoints and a wider range of experiences. Diverse teams are more representative of customers, can improve decision making and ultimately are able to innovate and problem-solve.
While improvements have been made in recent years, there is still much to do to increase diversity and inclusion in the workplace and make organisations reflective of society, for the benefit of all stakeholders.
At this event youβll be able to hear from Midtown business leaders who are tackling the issue of workplace inequality head-on and learn why diversity is offers commercial advantage.
