Millennials or Mainstreet: Who benefits most from Fintech

Government & Politics

Faced by fintech products that are transforming the way we manage our money, how can policymakers design fair and effective regulation?

From hour-by-hour budgeting to foreign exchange transactions, instant payments to charitable donations, trading cryptocurrencies or watching to see how much your teenager is spending in Starbucks, financial technology products are transforming the way we manage our money.

But while the consumer interface seems to be evolving very rapidly, this poses a number of challenges for policymakers. How can they design and implement regulation that is both fair and effective? Is it possible to protect the cost and availability of key banking-type services, whilst continuing to facilitate an environment of innovation for FinTechs?

Join Demos for this exciting event where we bring together FinTech pioneers, thought leaders and regulators to discuss these issues and more. The event will include a panel discussion and audience Q&A, followed by a drinks reception.

Speakers to be announced shortly.
