NumbiFest 2021: Storytelling Through Growing Seeds

Community & Culture

Using storytelling as a vehicle to find peace and joy in nature!

This summer, as part of NumbiFest 2021, we have been exploring the dynamic world of storytelling through nature. On a quest to understand how nature can be a teacher to aid creative flow and ease, we hosted a 5-day retreat in Devon and a day trip to Willowbrook Farms in Oxford. This has led us to our latest event in our storytelling journey: Storytelling Through Growing Seeds.

Storytelling Through Growing Seeds is a look into the climate crisis whilst centring on Somali peoples’ stories and cultures. Together we will explore the many ways in which the climate crisis is affecting our land and creatively delving into solutions. Using storytelling as a vehicle, we hope to investigate how we can collectively find peace and joy in nature.

This event is free, with the option to donate here if possible.
