Event Goals and Objectives

  • Demystifying Numerai - many top data scientists out there are just not too sure about the tournament format and/or the staking mechanism. Speaking with and listening to long-term participants can be an effective way to build trust.
  • Knowledge sharing and brainstorming - although we may not share all our secret sauce, meetups are great opportunities to bounce ideas off each other and may lead to new models with high performance.
  • Face-to-face discussions between the community and Numerai team - these events can provide a quick and direct feedback loop for both participants and the Numerai team.

About Numerai

Numerai gives away obfuscated data for free to a global network of data scientists, who submit their predictions to contribute to the strategy of a global equity fund. They stake on their predictions as a show of confidence in their model. Good submissions are rewarded and bad submissions' stakes are burned.
