The inauguration for the photo exhibition 'The Female Gaze: Women and Work in Italy Since the 1950's'

Following the ASMI AGM, the inauguration of the photographic exhibition 'The Female Gaze: Women and Work in Italy Since the 1950's' will take place. The inauguration will include a drinks reception, along with discussion of the fantastic work that has been done to create this exhibition, and its significance.

The photographic exhibition is sponsored by ASMI, Kingston University, Middlesex University, the Italian Cultural Institute, and UDI Bologna, and will provide the British public with a unique opportunity to see images from the photographic archive of UDI Bologna and the Donna Pizzi collection including the work of leading Italian female photographers such as Paola Agosti, Marcella Campagnano, Lisetta Carmi, Letizia Battaglia and Critsina Omenetto (just to mention a few).

Please be aware that the ICI has a limit of 35 people for in-person events, and as such, tickets to this event will be first-come, first-serve. We will also ask to see your eventbrite ticket (on phone or printed out), to ensure that the event runs in the fairest manner. We are giving ASMI members priority booking for this event. Booking to the general public will open on the 22nd November. The Italian Cultural Institute requires a Covid NHS certificate to access the site.
