Residency Collection Showcase: Georgi Morrison | Summer of Sculpture

Performing & Visual Arts

View Georgi Morrison’s residency collection, created in collaboration with sculptors Johannes Nielsen, Claire Jackson, and Natanya Barrett

Join us for the official unveiling of Georgi Morrison’s residency collection, created during her three-month residency at Bankside Hotel as part of Summer of Sculpture: a collaborative programme exploring the relationship between painting and sculpture.

Developed in direct response to rotating sculptural installations by Claire Jackson, Johannes Nielsen, and Natanya Barrett, Georgi’s new body of work investigates her residency theme Form and Flow, navigating the tension between structure and movement, precision and atmosphere.

This exclusive evening offers guests the first opportunity to view Georgi’s completed works in full, alongside a chance to hear directly from the artist about her time in residence, creative process, and the evolving dialogue between mediums that shaped her collection.

Set within the Art Yard Studio, this intimate showcase is a celebration of artistic exchange and the culmination of Summer of Sculpture’s collaborative journey.

Guests are also invited to explore a curated Urban Sculpture Garden by Gareth Griffiths, located on the Bankside Hotel mezzanine terrace and courtyard. Featuring seven bold and playful sculptures, the installation extends the residency’s presence into the public realm. Known for his architectural approach to form, Gareth’s works offer a striking contrast to the surrounding natural and urban landscape.
