Sky Arts: Life & Rhymes Season 2 - Live TV Audience

Sky Arts is looking for spoken word enthusiasts to be part of the live audience for a BAFTA-award winning show hosted by Benjamin Zephaniah.

A celebration of spoken word, Life & Rhymes sees some of the country’s leading spoken word performers light-up the mic with their lyrical creativity.

Life & Rhymes is the first show of its kind in the UK, solely dedicated to celebrating the very best poetry and spoken word talent the UK has to offer.

Host, legendary poet Professor Benjamin Zephaniah, will introduce a set of new poets who perform a piece of their own work, along with a performance from Benjamin himself.

There’ll also be a chance for you to take to the mic! This opportunity is limited to only a handful of places on the night so please keep this in mind.

Four audience members per night will be selected at random for a 60-second open mic poetry performance.

To be considered for the open mic please complete the entry form, here, as well as booking a ticket.

Please note there are multiple dates you can choose from: 1st, 2nd and 6th, 7th and 8th September. Select your preferred date from the drop down. You can attend more than one showing, please only get a ticket if you are fairly certain you will attend (life comes first though so don't feel too guilty if you can't make it!)

Life Rhymes will be implementing Covid19 measures during the recording of the show to ensure the safety and Wellbeing of the audience and will adhere to any government guidelines at the time of filming

Please note: Life & Rhymes will be implementing Covid 19 protocols across the production and filming of Life & Rhymes Series 2. Any members of the public invited to be part of the audience may be required to; provide proof of double vaccination or a negative lateral flow test. Completion of a covid declaration form, a temperature check or adhere to social distancing.

Tickets indicate registration of interest and do not guarantee entry. Entry will be on a first-come-first-served basis.

This event is for 18yrs+ only. Audience members will be recorded. Filming will take place outdoors at The Bandstand, Battersea Park, and seating is limited.
