Tech for Good meetup

Multiverse is a tech scaleup with a mission. We're creating a diverse group of future leaders by building an outstanding alternative to university and corporate training via professional apprenticeships.

At this meetup, we want to create a space for like-minded tech professionals to come together, network, and hear from an inspiring panel on what tech for good means to them.

Rachel Simpson

Rachel is Head of Design at Multiverse. She previously drove change at Google (8 years on Chrome, Search, and Duo), and has worked with award-winning Design Agencies and ground-breaking Startups. Clients and collaborators include Seth Godin, BMW/DriveNow, and Doctors without Borders.

She has led 20+ Design Sprints, driving organisational change with Doctors Without Borders, and transforming translation in Chrome. She co-founded the first German version of the Maker Faire, and founded Design Jam (designj.am).

Germán Bencci

Germán Bencci is the founder of CodeYourFuture, a volunteer-led organisation providing vocational training for refugees and low-income folks across the UK and South Africa. CodeYourFuture offers free technical and personal development courses for refugees and people from low socio-economic backgrounds and guides them to start thriving careers in the tech sector. Prior to setting up CodeYourFuture Germán worked in technical innovation roles for a number of tech companies.

Flora MacLeod

Flora is a Design Director at IBM iX, with around 10 years experience designing digital services. She specialises in design for government, healthcare and life sciences, with broad experience across UK Government, the NHS and publicly funded healthcare and health data organisations. She advocates for user-centricity in all things, and especially for inclusive design that focuses on meeting the needs of people with accessibility needs including people with disabilities, difficulty accessing digital infrastructure, and people with English as a second language.

She is also involved heavily in design academia, helping to shape degree curricula, lecturing and holds an Honorary Research Fellowship at Loughborough University School of Design and Creative Arts.

Sachin Goyal

Sachin is VP Engineering at Multiverse. He leads on technical ownership of our platform and scaling it into the global infrastructure layer for apprenticeships, supporting our mission of building a diverse group of future leaders. Sachin is an experienced Engineering leader, technologist and lifelong learner with a passion for building great software, healthy technology teams and helping others to grow.

Previously, Sachin was Director of Engineering at FanDuel where he led a team of over 100 engineers running the platform for the biggest fantasy and free to play business in the world.

Ivy Mukherjee

Ivy is an experienced product design leader who has worked across India, London, Canada, and Singapore so far over the past 8+ years across multiple ecosystems.

Currently, Ivy is a Product Design Manager at Bumble where she leads and manages a team of product designers helping to make safe and equitable human connections globally. She thrives in designing 0->1 products & creating scalable, strategic teams.
