The learning journey is a curious thing.
Traditional routes to acquiring knowledge, skills and outcomes are usually seen as linear; a path progressing in a straight line or steadily upwards. Measured in stages or levels; units or blocks, that build over a fixed amount of time.
The wobbly, unpredictable trajectory of the looping curve is the truer picture of the learning journey. It is a path that doesn’t end; is free to flow in all directions; goes up as well as down and frequently returns to the beginning. In ‘The Curve’, photographs by Morley College photography students and current tutors are shown together.
It is said that the best students characterise teachers and the best teachers strive toward the attitude of students Photography Students at Morley College Waterloo often stay on their journey with us a while. Our tutors are experienced photographers who have worked and taught professionally for years, but what binds both student and tutor together is the desire to make the best work possible- at whatever stage of the journey they may be.
Please join us to celebrate the work of Morley College Photography students and staff at the official Private View of The Curve.
