The Inclusive City - Past, Present, Future

Community & Culture

Join us to hear about reflections on inclusion in our cities – in the past, now and in the future.

Join Connect Out, Arup's LGBTQ+ network during LGBTQ+ History Month at our annual lecture and hear about reflections on inclusion in our cities – in the past, now and in the future.

After an introduction by Dervilla Mitchell, UKIMEA Board Chair, we will hear from Dan de la Motte on London’s rich history as – at least by the standards of the time – an LGBT+ inclusive city. Frances McAndrew, Diversity and Inclusion Lead at Transport for London, will provide a view on current inclusivity in London, followed by some perspectives from Joanna Rowelle, Director of Integrated City Planning, exploring the actions we can take today to build a more inclusive city of the future.

Nibbles and drinks will be provided throughout the evening, and there will be an opportunity to network with internal and external colleagues after the discussion.

Please contact [email protected] to let us know about any dietary requirements when accepting this invite, latest by February 1, 2020.
