Crisis of Conscience: Whistleblowing in an Age of Fraud is the title of Tom Mueller’s latest book – a fascinating deep dive into the stories, psychologies and group dynamics of whistleblowers in the US. On this side of the Atlantic, the UK has its share of whistleblowers and a law that is supposed to protect them; and the EU has just adopted a Directive to protect whistleblowers across 27 countries. But if whistleblowing is occurring in an “age of fraud” what is the organisational – corporate or public sector – imperative to heed whistleblowers? Let alone protect them?
Join us at Constantine Cannon's offices for two great back-to-back discussions, first with Tom about his groundbreaking book, and second with US whistleblower Elin Kunz and UK whistleblowers and those who advise them in the private and public sector (including representatives from WIN, Protect & Constantine Cannon) about why whistleblowing may matter more now than ever before.
