The Jobs Foundation and The Burning Glass Institute are excited to invite you to an evening drinks reception to hear from Burning Glassโ CEO, Matt Sigelman, and an expert group of panelists, who will discuss the British Opportunity Index, and how Britainโs largest companies have created opportunity and mobility for their workforce, as well what more can be done to enhance these efforts.
The world is changing, with aging populations, shifting immigration policies, and technologies like GenAI reshaping the labor market. Companies must invest in their workforce to retain talent and build future skills. What strategies best promote skill building and retention, and how can organizations measure their impact while creating meaningful opportunities for employees?
To answer these questions, the Burning Glass Institute, in partnership with The Economist, developed The British Opportunity Index โ a corporate scorecard that evaluates the UKโs largest ~150 employers on four key dimensions: Hiring, Pay, Mobility, and Retention. This Index aims to empower workers and encourage competition, setting a new standard for workforce opportunity.
