Upstream x Imperial College London: ‘Money Talks’ with Newable

Business & Professional

'Money Talks' is our series that brings angels, VCs and private investors to you. This November, meet Newable Private Investing.

Are you a tech or deep tech startup looking for fundraising? Come along to meet Newable Private Investing.

Upstream and Imperial College London are delighted to invite you to our Money Talks series. This time, we welcome Avantika Gupta and Chloe Kuder from Newable Private Investing, one of the UK’s leading private investment groups supporting around 12,000 SMEs in MedTech, SpaceTech, AI, Deep Learning and Immersive Tech with a network of over 500 angel investors.

In January 2019, Newable launched a £10m evergreen EIS fund to help grow technology startups and in the last two years, have participated in over 50 EIS investments, raising £36m. In 2017/18, Newable closed 35 deals, with £19m raised by the companies they supported.

This April, Newable partnered with the £4.8m SPRINT (Space Research and Innovation Network for Technology) programme, enabling high-growth space companies and UK SMEs to identify future investment opportunities for their products and businesses. The programme provides unprecedented access to university space expertise and facilities to help businesses develop new commercial products for space and other key sectors. SPRINT is supported by Research England and is being delivered by five UK universities.

Over the course of the evening, our speakers will set out the key drivers and priorities they look for in startups which Newable invests in. You will learn how to better your startup with such investors whilst you network with other like-minded entrepreneurs.

Running order:

18:00: Registration drinks & pizza
