What is the workshop about?

Our free User Experience Design (UX) OpenHaus is perfect for anyone looking to change careers, add to an existing skill set, or have a drink and explore some interesting topics.

Over beer, wine, or perhaps just a cup of tea, Haus Instructor Jon White will provide a free introduction to the exciting world of User Experience Design (UX). Including everything from design thinking and processes, user research, competitor analysis, experience mapping, rapid prototyping and usability testing.

Afterwards, meet with our community alumni and hear how they successfully transitioned into a new career in User Experience Design (UX), or how they used the skills acquired through Experience Haus to boost their professional outlook.

Jon White is a user researcher working at Bookatable, a market leading restaurant booking service recently acquired by the Michelin group. Prior to moving in-house with Bookatable, Jon worked for GFK, a global market research consultancy and worked on user testing programs at American Express, AstraZeneca, Amazon, and more.

With over ten years experience in the hospitality industry and 3 years working as a researcher, he is adept at asking the right questions to get the best outcome for everybody. His goal is to take the chaotic mess that is user feedback and distill it into actionable insights explained clearly and concisely.
