WCS>LDN Business Community Social | London | April 2024

New for 2024, We Create Space is excited to present the WCS Business Community Social! Taking place on the first Wednesday of every month, this informal evening networking event is aimed at DEI Professionals, Leaders and Corporate Change-Agents - bringing people together to mingle, share best practice, reflect and inspire each other as we work towards creating safer and more inclusive workplaces.

Guests will be welcomed by the WCS Team and we'll also be joined by guest speakers for each event who will deliver short but fun, engaging talks on a range of themes chosen to kickstart the evening's networking.

Our guest speaker for 3 April will be David Kam (he/him).

David is a queer Malaysian movement artist and educator based in London, who shares embodied practices of connection through joy, wonder, and freedom. Blending the worlds of architecture, dance and spirituality, David pitches movement as an expression of both party and protest. He believes that movement can be a medium for us to find home in our bodies and a springboard towards engaging in collective action and trans-generational healing.

David's talk is titled 'Playing Attention'. This is for those of us who find it challenging to sustain a connection beyond the first meet, or who struggle with sharing their multiplicity in a way that does not overwhelm themselves or others. David says "I will introduce play as a stategy to charge conversations with imagination and possibility, using play as a window to expand our capacity to share as well as listen, and to encourage excitement in self and others so we can all be even more of ourselves."

The beautiful bar at The BoTree, London's newest luxury hotel, provides the perfect venue to chat with other guests and have those more meaningful conversations. Our host for these events are very kindly providing all attendees with a delicious welcome cocktail (alcohol-free options included) along with DJ Liam Parsons who will be providing the soundtrack for the evening. There'll be a range of drinks on offer, including alcohol-free options, at a special price for our attendees. BIG thanks to The BoTree for their support & generosity!

As always, our events are delivered to provide a safe space and a catalyst for ideas, creativity, collaboration and community. This event is a fantastic opportunity to come together to learn, connect and grow.
