Why Difficult Stakeholders can save your Project - Project Management SG

Science & Technology

In this interactive seminar, we try to take the stress out of stakeholder engagement. We look at the reasons why unhelpful behaviour can be an indicator of a hidden problem that needs to be fixed. And we look at how customer service teams cope with angry customers, learning some of their techniques for ensuring problems don’t undermine these critical relationships.

SYNOPSIS
Dealing with difficult stakeholders can be a highly stressful part of the job for project professionals. Delivering successful outcomes relies on our ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders.

Project managers are used to working under pressure, delivering results with tight deadlines and small budgets, often making decisions with insufficient information. Difficult stakeholders mean having to deal with additional problems, making the job even more stressful. So, ignoring them can be a tempting strategy. But should we actually be viewing difficult stakeholders in a more positive light?

In this interactive seminar, we try to take the stress out of stakeholder engagement. We look at the reasons why unhelpful behaviour can be an indicator of a hidden problem that needs to be fixed. And we look at how customer service teams cope with angry customers, learning some of their techniques for ensuring problems don’t undermine these critical relationships.
