Wildlife and Countryside Link's annual debate follows our AGM and is a valuable opportunity to explore a vital current issue and its impact on society and the natural environment.
Our expert panelists will debate our hot topic and answer questions from the audience on this key issue.
Our question this year is:
βWith their environmental future at stake, how do we ensure the voices of people of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds are heard in the nature crisis debate?β
This year's debate will be chaired by Dominic Dyer, Chief Executive of the Badger Trust, newest member of the Link Board, and passionate advocate for greater diversity in the environment sector. The expert panel includes:
β’ Holly Gillibrand, a fourteen year old conservationist, environmentalist, youth activist and rewilding ambassador who has worked with Greta Thumberg.
β’ Gillian Burke, biologist, wildlife film-maker and presenter (including BBCβs Springwatch)
β’ Samantha Moyo, leading diversity and decolonisation advocate
β’ Megan McCubbin, zoologist, wildlife researcher and presenter
The debate will run from 4pm-5.30pm, and guests are invited to join us for a networking drinks reception until 7pm.
This is a FREE event, open to the public, but spaces are limited so please reserve a ticket early to avoid disappointment.
