Join us for a summit that includes a stellar line-up of women speakers from Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, North Korea and the UK!
#WomenEmpowerment2020 celebrates Women's Empowerment Week with speakers from around the world. The theme is education and development for women, and our line-up of powerful speakers include:
```~ Mozhdah Jamalzadah, Hit Afghani pop-singer and talk show host on women’s rights
~ Jihyun Park, Women of Asia’s Chairman Award Winner 2018, sex trafficking and forced labour camp survivor who escaped from North Korea not only once, but twice
~ Billie Dunne, Senior Programme Manager of the National Literacy Trust
~ Emma McKellar, From the local bakery Luminary who employs and trains homeless women
~ Katie Allen, Specialist on Women in Warfare
~ Evelyn Forde, Franklin Scholars trustee, WomenEd guest speaker, and head teacher at Copthall School
The night will include two panel discussions centred on development and education, as well as speeches from Mozhdah Jamalzadah and Jihyun Park.
Refreshments will be provided.
Donations raised from the event will go to The National Literacy Trust, Refugee Action, Doctors Without Borders, and The Felix Project.
