'Your Borough Your Future', an event by Waltham Forest East London Leaders

Community & Culture

A free one-day exhibition of dozens of political, activist and community-focused organisations operating in Waltham Forest.

From 12pm to 5pm on 30 November, the Wiseman House Main Hall at Holy School and Family Sixth Form will be transformed into a mini-town with more political, community-focused and activist organisations than you could dream of.

There will be talks, workshops, Q&A sessions, networking tables, competitions with (rather expensive) prizes to be won, a raffle, free music, free food, free drinks and free merchandise.

"But I'm not really that into politics, activism and I don't care deeply about any local issues..." Still come!

This event has been designed to be FUN, INTERESTING and INSPIRING... for young and old, activists and non-activists: for everyone.

All attendees will be able to question any members of organisations and will receive authentic answers from people who have dedicated their lives to particular local issues.

Organisations and speakers include the Women's Equality Party, Extinction Rebellion, the Socialist Worker's Party, Waltham Forest's Youth Mayoral team, former local Labour and Tory campaign managers, The Green Party, Binning Knives Saves Lives.CIC and many more!

This event is both a celebration of some of the amazing local political and activist organisations and an opportunity for people to find out about how they can get involved in some of these groups.

This event has been organised by unpaid volunteers who have done this out of their love for the borough and its citizens. Please support their hard work and come to the event, if only to pop in and out!
