Tarun is a product design manager at WhatsApp. Having graduated from Georgia Tech with a Masters in Human Computer Interaction, he has spent the last decade working for various in house product design teams at Paperless Post, Facebook and WhatsApp as an end to end designer who focusses on everything from visual & interaction design to prototyping.
Today Tarun works on the integrity teams at WhatsApp, helping design features that combat online spam and bad behaviours.
Tarun grew up in the hustle and bustle of New Delhi and spent most of his professional life working in New York City. He recently moved to the creative and vibrant neighbourhood of Shoreditch in East London.

Dr John Balasuriya is a visiting lecturer at OMNES Education London Campus where he teaches Artificial Intelligence. John enjoys working in many sectors, often at the crossroads between academic research and commercial business. He has a long history of working in Artificial Intelligence and is a pioneer of data science in London. John was Chief Scientist of the 14th fastest growing technology company in the UK and his technology has been cited in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 and Sunday Times Tech Track 100. John is the founder of a Google Partner digital marketing agency with clients in the UK, US, China and India.
