A Celebration of 40 years of Amnesty UK's Trade Union Network
Community & Culture
Amnesty activists and our union friends will join colleagues and veterans to celebrate our TU network's 40th year!
This year Amnesty UK is marking the 40th Anniversary of our Trade Union Network, please join us on World Human Rights Day for an evening of reflection and celebration. We will open with a Panel Discussion in our auditorium with Kate Allen, AIUK Director, Patrick Roach, Deputy general Secretary NASUWT, Maria Exall, Chair of the TUC's LGBT+ committee and Owen Tudor Deputy general secretary ITUC. We will then move downstairs for a drinks reception and the unveiling of our 40 Years = 40 Voices exhibition, and an informal "open mic" to show our appreciation to Tom Hedley, who has been active in the network for 39 years, and spent multiple terms on the AIUK Board, including as Chair.
