AfBE’s Round Table: The Role of Small Practices in the Climate Emergency

Science & Technology

AFBE-UK's Industry Team is holding a round table event for small and medium practices in the built environment.

Join us for an evening of informative discussions on our roles as business owners, freelancers, designers and advocates for a more sustainable future with the AfBE & Build Studios.

We will hear from an amazing panel of speakers and network with other small practice owners.

The event will be a hybrid event with the main event in-person and an online element for those who can’t make it in person.

As professionals in the built environment, we understand that our design has the potential to impact the future of our planet. We understand that we must make a choice in reducing the embodied and operational requirements for our projects.

Unfortunately, it is not that easy for a small practice. We have limited resources, must remain competitive with our fees, and are faced with a business-as-usual industry. What can we do to stand out and inspire our clients to take action?

This event is for anyone from a small or medium sized practice, freelancers, sole practitioners, aspiring entrepreneurs, and anyone interested in the future of small and medium practices.

6:30 – Introductions

7:00 – Round table discussion

8:30 – Networking

Refreshments will be provided on site. The topics will be shared with the attendees as well as a list of attendees. If anyone does not want their details shared, please let us know.
