Alumni in Fintech: How to develop a Fintech career?

CFTE's Alumni community (London chapter) is hosting an event to discuss what it is like to work in FinTech and how you can develop your career path in this industry.

We have invited a special guest, Pouya Jamshidiat, a CFTE alumni and one of the winners of the CFTE AI in Finance Awards in 2018, to talk about his own experience in FinTech and share his knowledge and advice with the alumni community.

Pouya was Senior Product Owner (AI) at Lloyds Bank up until last month. In the past he has been invited to share his expertise and knowledge about Fintech during various events. He remains a prominent figure within CFTE community, especially since he travelled to Singapore last year as part of the AI Awards prize.

During the event you will have a chance to ask Pouya questions about his journey and you will leave the event with practical advise on how (with the skills and experience you currently have) you can jump onto the Fintech train. In addition this will be a good space for Fintech alumni to share experiences, ideas and concerns about the future of work in Finance & Fintech.

After the session we will also host networking drinks with Oxford Fintech programme & HKU Fintech Mooc Alumni!

This is the first of a series of evening events where CFTE's alumni London chapter coordination group will be inviting different CFTE alumni to share their journeys into the Fintech world to inspire others to enter the exciting world of Fintech.
