I pray this invite meets you doing well.

My name is Marie-Solange Ndeley & I am a multi-disciplinary artist, curating works in arts & education. I am msnmakesfilms and the founder of RIM Collective. I recently completed my BA studies in Film Practice from the University of the Arts London & graduated with 1st Class Honours, last year. My 3rd year thesis opened a paved history, where I explored the untold richness of Black British Cinema & Filmmakers. My work has led me to obtaining a Residency Programme at LCC, which comes to an end in February 2020.

I am pleased to invite you all to the final showcase which will take place between Thursday 27th February - Friday 28th February 2020.

Official Event Launch Date: Thursday 27th February

Time: 5:30pm - 11:30pm

This event will be formalised into 3 main frames:

Live podcast discourse with pioneers & current generation of Black British filmmakers, thinkers, artists and activists.

An exhibition of artworks showcasing the currency of Black British Cinema and highlighting Artists whose works ecstatically affirms our futurity.

Book Launch: 'ON REFLECTION: AN ARRAYED FUTURITY. A collection of research & personal reflection, enclosing the futuristic expansion of Black British Cinema as medium, art form & sociopolitical movement.

The evening will begin with Live performances, followed by an audio-visual time-capsule of Black British Cinema. We advice all members visit at 5:30pm prompt to be fully emerged in the programming, as we are intended for lift off.

During the programme, they will be moments for landing, which will give members opportunity to view our exhibition and purchase our Merchandise: Book, Postcards & T-shirts. (kindly bring your own bags for items, to help towards saving our environment.)

The night will come to a close with an After-Party at LCC's Darkroom, which will feature amazing DJs: Mwen, Shegotsoul & TBC.

Friday 28th February - Final Viewing Day

- Film Screening

- Merchandise Sale
