Join us for an evening of talks by artists and designers working at the intersections of e-textiles, fashion-tech and performance.
Speakers
Bushra Burge
Bushra Burge of BB Studio, will discuss activist storytelling and presence using eco-ethical design processes of integrated vr-haptic-costume.
Nicola Woodham
Artist Nicola Woodham uses voice, improvisation, noise and her experience of being an older, disabled woman in her performances. She will present ‘Voice-making through movement', her current Develop Your Creative Practice, ACE funded research project and discuss how hand-making e-textile sensors makes sense for her praxis.
Melissa Coleman
Software developer, curator, artist and co-host of the estitches london meetup- will talk you through how she, as part of a small team, worked on Imogen Heap's wearable light collar for the singer's 2019 world tour to visualise the output of the MiMu gloves.
