Artsmark Connects: Collaboration between artists and schools

Uncategorized

Please note: Artsmark Connects events are open to all teachers, including those not currently registered for Artsmark. Cultural sector organisations are also welcome to book.

Artsmark Connects

Join us at the Nunnery Gallery to celebrate and explore long term collaborations between artists and schools!

This informal networking evening coincides with the launch of the Poplar Partnership - 5 years of Artists in Schools publication a collaboration between Bow Arts and several Poplar schools. The publication outlines 5 years of the Poplar Consortium partnership - a programme delivered by Bow Arts that supports schools to enhance their arts education offer through bespoke, artist-led projects, accredited programmes and creative professional development.

The event will give teachers a chance to network with peers and discover more about artist partnerships and the value of creative learning across both the core and foundation curriculum.  As well as having exclusive access to the Bow Open exhibition at the Nunnery Gallery, you will receive a copy of the publication.

Artsmark Connects events provide the following opportunities:

  • Presentations: hear from Advocate schools that took part in the Poplar Partnership and from the Education team at Bow Arts about the value of collaboration and creative learning

  • CPD: try out some art-making activities from Nunnery Gallery, an Artsmark Partner, that you can take back to the classroom

  • Celebrate: congratulate those schools that have recently been awarded Artsmark and celebrate how they achieved this

  • Discoveran opportunity for schools and cultural organisations to find out how Artsmark can help them

  • Network: a chance for teachers and the cultural sector to network and share ideas/practice over a glass of wine

Teachers, senior leaders and governors are welcome to attend, as are members of the cultural sector. Places are limited, book now!
