Awards Night: The Michael Marks Awards for Poetry Pamphlets 2023

Performing & Visual Arts

Come to the Michael Marks Awards for Poetry Pamphlets Awards Night, Wednesday 13th December, for a celebration of contemporary poetry

Wednesday 13th December

18:15 for a 19:00 start

The announcements and readings will end at 20:45 and be followed by a drinks reception

Join us for our fifteenth annual celebration of the vibrant world of poetry pamphlets. These short publications highlight the best new writers and enable established writers to focus or experiment. Come along to hear from the shortlisted poets and publishers, see their work, hear from the judges, and find out the winners as they are announced.

Three Awards for publications will be made, for Publisher, Poet, and Illustrator. We will also launch the Environmental Poet of the Year 2023-2024 winner's pamphlet. There'll be a reading from the winner and the pamphlet will be available to buy for the first time. You'll also hear about the judging of this important prize, now in its second year.
