BIGGER - THAI ARTIST SHOWCASE CHAMPAGNE RECEPTION

BIGGER ARTIST SHOWCASE AND CHAMPAGNE

Chance to meet popular young Thai artist, Tuwanon Piyanutpool, aka BIGGER, at a champagne reception for his launch show First Century London. The complex, sophisticated works are inspired by architecture, design and technology. You'll get a chance to view the artworks and discuss how they are created.

In spite of its First Century London title, BIGGER’s artwork collection is inspired by modern artistic, film and tech influences: from Piet Mondrian and Mies van der Rohe, to Steve Jobs and Elon Musk.

Tuwanon’s exhibition of sophisticated and complex illustrations draws on his training in architecture, design and advertising, including four years at McCann in Thailand. Each of the First Century London illustrations is created in black, black & white and white to form natural sets. Initially hand-drawn, BIGGER then transfers the designs to Illustrator, before they are silk screen printed by The Archivist.

BIGGER : β€œThere is no ending in my lines, just the flow of the artistic process. When I am creating, it feels like I observe but don’t intervene. 10 hours can go by in 10 seconds. It is the absolute definition of travel in time.

β€œI was inspired to show in London because it feels like the artistic and creative hub of Europe. Walking around Soho for the first time, I saw galleries on nearly every street and a big potential audience of creative and tech talent who might appreciate my art.”

First Century London by BIGGER

When I’m creating, I feel that time stops running. I stop breathing.

The gap between chaos and inner peace widens.

I was in chains, but now I’m free.

Undimmed by time. Unbound by death.

I venture to far more places than I could ever have imagined.
