Black Girls in Fashion x London Fashion Week launch Party

Black Girls in Fashion is the First and ONLY media platform that represents and helps develope the creative careers of Black Girls in British Fashion at all levels.

We are happy to announce our official launch event Black Girls Master Talk and mixer party, kicking off during London Fashion Week in September 2019 - doubling as the NEW alternative fashion week event for black girls to connect, learn and excel in their disciplines. 

Black Girls Master Talk is a series of top professionals who kindly give their time, efforts and expertise to enhance and pass on industry knowledge aimed at helping the next generation gain practical and invaluable insight. 

Our launch line-up features guest speakers and the evening's mentors:

Rani Patel Williams- Business Director at The Digitalfairy. Young creative focused digital communication agency whose clients included  giants like Adidas, Shrimps, GurlsTalk, Beautystack, WAH Nails ,Lovebox and many more.

Rianna Osanwuta- Art Director at Beautystack.

Beautystack is a social marketplace for beauty treatments. The app facilitates Beauty Professionals in running their entire business, and clients can book treatments direct from images and connect. Rianna's current position at Beautystack is Art Director. Here, she visually engages the audience through design at all touch points. This includes developing brand guidelines, content strategy and distribution, designing marketing materials, social media, commissioning photography and video plus designing for events, pop-ups and displays.

Naysay- Fashion & Celebrity Stylist also Founder of GRL GNG platform for female musicians. The brilliant mind behind many forward thinking looks for musicians such as Ray Blk and Skepta and even praised by Queen of all modern day rappers- Nicki Minaj for her style and work.

The Master Talk will include an open audience segment on Representation in fashion and creative avenues and what it means to be a black girl/ woman trying to navigate such spaces that were never mean't for us to exist in. We'll also discuss how necessary the black artistic female perspective is to way we look at innovation in fashion, beauty, business, art and music and how our melanin infused impact has and continues to shape every field in the British Fashion industry. 

Beyond our launch we intend to help emerging black female designers and creatives with making their businesses sustainable through business mentoring, free desk space, digital Webinars and other pro bono initiatives created with affiliates - so we want to nurture and discover the next Donna Wallace or female Edward Enninful.

Our long-term vision is to expand to New York, Paris and Milan fashion weeks, creating the world's largest black female fashion orientated membership in every major fashion Capital on the Globe. We aim to give back to our community as often and as generously possible, what better way than to connect our young creatives with their professional counter parts.
