Estudos Linguísticos e Filológicos is a tribute to Ivo Castro, Emeritus Professor of the University of Lisbon and once visiting Teaching Fellow at King’s College, London. Castro is a leading specialist of the history of the Portuguese language and the coordinator of the Critical Edition of Fernando Pessoa's complete work.
The book draws together texts from more than one hundred researchers, presenting the current studies into the various disciplines of Portuguese linguistics (phonology, dialectology, syntax, historical linguistics, lexicology) and textual criticism.
The launch will be presented by Stephen Parkinson (University of Oxford) and Ana Maria Martins (University of Lisbon).
