Business in the Community’s 2024 Leadership Summit

Charity & Causes

You are warmly invited to our 2024 Leadership Summit - Lifting up Britain: State of the Nation Report on Responsible Business

This is an in-person event.

Audience

The Leadership Summit is for CEOs.

Background

In today’s challenging and turbulent environment, there is a real need to lift up everyone across society to create hope and opportunity for the future. However, the pressure to balance profit with purpose is increasingly being tested. It is therefore more important than ever to work together to develop new approaches and solutions to the challenges facing the world today. This context provides the basis for Business in the Community's (BITC) inaugural Leadership Summit, which will convene CEOs from the UK’s leading businesses and see the launch of the 'Lifting up Britain: State of the Nation’s Report on Responsible Business’.

Drawing on quantitative research and interviews, the ‘Lifting Up Britain’ report will detail the thoughts from leaders of Britain’s largest businesses as they reflect on what has been done and what is still needed to change the world around us.

This will include:

  • Their responsible business priorities and the actions they are taking to accelerate change.
  • How they are seeking to balance business objectives and social purpose.
  • The barriers that are preventing faster responsible business action.
  • Key motivations and drivers for responsible business action.

About the event

The Leadership Summit will inspire, equip and accelerate collective action to lift up Britain through:

  • Accelerating the responsible business movement by identifying critical priorities, motivations and barriers to action.
  • Creating calls to action for business leaders to collectively lift up the UK, by leading together, making their businesses more responsible, tackling inequality, transforming lives and helping the planet and communities thrive.
  • Identifying new opportunities to drive collective action with businesses, communities and government on key issues.
